Ladies League 2011 Information

Welcome League Participants

Welcome to the Indianola Country Club Ladies league. We offer two different types of leagues for your enjoyment. Best Ball and Match Play. Both leagues will run from June 1st through Aug. 31st with the flag tournament Sept. 7th. The cost of league is $15.00 per person or $30 per team (you must be a member of the Ladies Association and golf membership to the club) to play league.

 The schedules are posted in the woman’s restroom and on the ICC web site under “Ladies League Information” tab.  Sign-up for either league has started and will run until May 20th , please contact Karen Fowler at 515-961-7152 for Best Ball League and Jenny McKenzie at 515-961-9966 for Match Play League.

Because we cannot all be at the course at the same time from week to week we would like the teams to communicate either by email or phone to establish your time of play each week.  We hope this helps both teams communicate what time they are playing and prevent any confusion.  If you are not able to make it for league play on Wednesday night, it is your responsibility to find a substitute or re-schedule.  The substitute list has been provided to you on our web site.  You may re-schedule until Aug. 31st if the opposing team agrees. Please keep in mind that if you are unable to make the game up or agree on a time to make-up the match, it is a forfeit of the original team who cancelled.

  For Match Play, those of you who are new to our Club and or have never had an established handicap, it is very important that you get activated in the GHIN computer as soon as possible.  The fee for the golf season is $20 and can be paid at the club house.  You will need a number of 18 hole rounds entered in order to establish a handicap. If you are unable to establish a GHIN before June 1st, please contact Jenny McKenzie for guidance. Finally, we ask that after you complete your round in league weekly, enter your score into the computer to assure the most up to date GHIN is available and fairness to upcoming matches.
