By the time you receive this, the 2009 GHIN Handicap season will be over.  Our region is considered seasonal and the USGA does not allow us to enter scores during this time.  Our 2009 season dates were April 1st through October 28th.  Any rounds played after the 28th will not be allowed to be entered.  You may still access your handicap along with your index.

Tournament Results
The winners of the ICC 4 Man Best Shot were Matt Jones, Kyle Matzen, Ben Bruins, and Ken Pollock with a 55.  The Chili Open was won by the team of Ron Bily, Joe Pierce, Rick Straun, abd Brian Sheriff with a 58.

Friday Fun Night
The Friday Fun Nights initiated this spring resume this fall starting on Friday November 13th at
6 pm.  These events are planned by a host couple like 2-Balls.  Ed & Cindy Morrison are the hosts for this event.  Come on out and enjoy the evening with your fellow club members. 

Late Fall Golf
Joe will keep the course open as long as the weather is reasonable for golf.  Come on out and enjoy some fall golf on the warm days.  Remember we have a fall green fee and cart special so it is a great time to bring a guest.

Board Members Needed
Each year we receive suggestions from members on how we can improve the club.  Now is your chance to help make the club a better place by running for the Board of Directors.  There will be 3 positions available in the year end elections.  Let any current board member know if you are interested in running. 

New Members Needed
The poor economy continues to have an effect on our membership.  Including the fall trial members we are down about 10 members from last year and 15 from 2 years ago.  Now is a great time for new members to join since cart shed spots are available, they will pay only social dues until April 1, 2010 and new members will receive a ‘stimulus package” that includes reduced dues for 2 years similar to this spring’s new member special.  Details are on the website at http://www.indianolacountryclub.com/prospectivemembers.html. If you know of anyone who is a potential member, let them know about this opportunity to join the club at a reduced rate.  Just let Jason know their name and address or email, and he will send them the information.

We have received resignations from Jack& Paula Bean, Jeremy Huffman, Craig & Lisa Sexton, Grant & Jill Johnson, Ken & Jan Beane, Dan & Becky Sharr, Bill Tveite, Chris & Dawn Goodale, Chris & Linda Ehrhardt, Larry & Nancy Goering and Ken & Dawn Fitzgerald.  Welcome new trial golf members Christopher & Joan Haywood. We now have 307 golf, six trial golf and 18 social memberships. We had 323 golf and 15 social memberships at this time last year and 327 golf memberships 2 years ago.
