Pro’s Corner
It is that time of year again that I feel I need to communicate with the membership in regards of the Upcoming Charity Events that we are hosting at the Club.  The Board of Directors, along with myself, like giving different organizations the opportunity to use are facility to help raise money for their cause.  This is a great way for us to be recognized by those people who may never have the chance to play your Club.  We all know that word of mouth is the best advertising so this is one of the main reasons we choose to allow a few outside events.  Please see below for the list of Charity Events we are hosting and contact information.

Many of these events will fill up fast so don’t delay if you would like to participate!
Please be aware that we have a reciprocal agreement with a number of other clubs so you have the opportunity to play another facility on these days if you choose not to play in one of these events or if you just want to take a road trip to play one of these courses.  Please refer to the web site or your calendar to see the process for playing one of these clubs.  I must make the arrangements.  The fee is only $15 and that include guest fees, cart and range balls.  The list of clubs that we have the agreement with are Ames CC, Briarwood CC, Burlington CC, Carroll CC, Fort Dodge CC, Geneva CC, Lake Panorama, Lake Creek CC, Mason City CC, Newton CC, and Ottumwa CC.  Hopefully many of you will take advantage of this. 

Tournament Results
The Monroes swept the championships in the Mother’s Day Tournament with Kathy and Emily shooting a 74 to capture the Mother/Daughter and Kathy and Josh firing a 79 to win the Mother/Son. The team of Chris Mugge, Larry Hodges, Phil Hodges and Chris Vandell from Des Moines won the ICC 4-Person Best Shot with a 57.  The Memorial Day Tournament was won by John O’Hair, Marc Magill, Alan Huisinga, and Carol Polson with a 59.  For complete tournament results go to the website at http://www.indianolacountryclub.com/golftournaments.html.

Club Sponsored Tournaments
Upcoming club tournaments include the Ladies Invitational on June 6th, the Father's Day Tournament June 21st, the Member Guest Tournament on June 27th and the Firecracker Open, a 4 person best shot for club members, on July 4th.  Sign-up in the clubhouse and join in the fun.
           
Couples 2-Balls
There is one couples 2-ball scheduled for June.  It is on Saturday June 13.  Start time is 6 p.m.  Come on out and join the fun.  The 2-Ball originally scheduled for Friday June 26th has been cancelled due to the member guest dinner.  Reminder: the nine not being used by 2-Ball is open for others to play.
