We are still accepting nominatons for three seats on the Indianola Country Club Board of Directors. Please contact a member of the Nomination Committee, Mike Lathrop, Jim Thorius or Jennifer St John if you or someone you know is interested.  Nominations will be excepted until December 16th.

The club’s website, www.indianolacountryclub.com , is loaded with information for all members. It contains all the information that is in the club calendar, board member email addresses and telephone numbers, current pro shop sales, tournament results, club events and parties and much much more. Please visit the site often to keep informed as to what is happening at your club.

From the Greens Committee/Superintendent:

Not much to report at this time of the year except to say that the course will be closing and pins will be pulled from the greens any day now. Joe will be placing temporary flags in front of the greens so you can still come out and hit shots on the occasional nice winter day, but please keep carts on the paths and please do not walk on the greens. Special thanks to Joe and his staff for keeping our course in such great shape all season.

From the Clubhouse Committee:

We are looking at a couple of remodels for this winter we have to get through the 2012 budget process for the club before we can decide what the club has resources for in 2012. We should be able to let everyone know whats coming on these by the January newsletter. Connie has been working on a new menu for the club that will include all your old favorites and some new exciting items that we think will make everyone happy.

We all want to thank you the members of Indianola Country Club for your support and patronage of the clubhouse and the staff without your support it doesn’t happen. Also the committee wants to thank Connie and her staff for the great job they have done in 2011.  The committee has received many emails and letters throughout the year from members voicing their satisfaction with how well the food and beverage service and quality has been this year. Finally, thanks to Jason and his staff. The pro shop and club in general has had another great year.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all from your Clubhouse committee. Also it is not too early to be thinking about your parties and events for next year please don’t hesitate to get with Connie early to talk about your 2012 events. Thank you all.

Membership Changes:

We have received resignations from Matt and Dawn Andrews, Mark and Laurie Uitermarkt, Jeff and Krista Morton (social) and Karl Bachof (social).  Jeremy Johnson and Dick and Annette Kerr have dropped to social. We have no new applications this month which is typical for this time of year. We usually experience a few resignations in the winter months but this year has been no worse than other years. We currently have 284 golfing members, 33 social members and 14 trial members that we hope will become full members soon.

From the ICC Kitchen:

Connie now has bread bowls for hot soups during the cold winter months at lunch time. Stop in and warm up with some homemade soup.

Reminders:

Lunch at the Club - Don't forget that lunch is available at the club from 11AM-2PM Tuesday through Saturday.  Feel free to bring your friends or co-workers.  It is one of the best deals in town.
 
Dinner at the Club – Please join us Thursday and Friday nights for dinner from 6:00 pm till 8:00 pm. There is a new special each week or you can order off the menu.
