29th     Simpson Spring Invitational        10:00 Shotgun Start
The course remains closed until the completion of play.

May

 8th       Mother’s Day Tournament           9:00 Shotgun Start
There will be a Mother Son and a Mother Daughter Division.  The format for this event will be a Modified Alternate Shot.  This 18 hole tournament will be flighted at the end.  **We would like to invite all Mother Son/Daughters that prefer to only play9 holes to come out at the completion of the 18 hole event.  The East/OldNine will be reserved for you to play.**

14th     Spring Fling             5:00 Shotgun Start
            This event includes dinner, golf skills games, 2-ball and music.

30st     Memorial Day Tournament          9:00 Shotgun Start
This event will be a 4-Person Best Shot with teams comprised of an A, B, C and D player. GHIN handicap required for participation.  Sign up deadline is Saturday May 28th at Noon.

15th     Chamber Golf Classic                   12:00 Shotgun Start
This event is open to both members and non members.  The format for this fundraiser is a 4-Person Best Shot.  Space will be limited so please sign up early.  For more information

19th     Father’s Day Tournament            9:00 Shotgun Start

24th     Simpson Alumni Outing               11:00 Shotgun Start
This event is open to all Simpson College Alums.  This event will begin at 11:00 and have the first tee closed until approximately 1:30.  Morning play will be limited.  If interested in participating in this event please contact the alumni office at Simpson College.  Please note that morning play will be limited.  Please contact Jason at the Club in regards to playing in the a.m.

July

4th        Firecracker Open               9:00 Shotgun Start
This event will be a 4-Person Best Shot with teams comprised of an A, B, C and D player. GHIN handicap required for participation.  Sign up deadline is Saturday July 2nd at Noon.

9th -10th Men’s Club Championship       Tee Times begin at 7:00
This will be a two day event with a regular, senior, and super senior division.  The tournament will be flighted at the completion of 36 holes for all flights except the Championship Flight.  The Championship Flight will be determined at the end of round one with the low 16 and ties and             those participants who declared Championship Flight  playing 27 holes from the black tees on Day           two.  The Regular Division will be all players ages 49 and under who don’t qualify for the Championship Flight.  Seniors age 50 and over may choose to play in the Senior Division.  All play in this division is from the white tee markers against players ages 50 and over.  Super             Senior’s ages 60 and over may choose to play in the Super Senior Division.  All play in this division is from the gold tee markers against players ages 60 and over.

15th     5th Annual Indianola Golf Classic                       12:00 Shotgun Start
This event is open to both members and non members.  The format for this fundraiser will be a 4-Person Best Shot.  All players will be in one division and the event will be flighted at the completion of 18 holes.  All proceeds from this event will donated to the American Cancer
            Society.  More information will be available in the upcoming newsletters.

23rd     Summer 2-Ball Patio Party           5:00 Shotgun Start
This event will include dinner before the 2-ball and karaoke with Tim Bryan following the golf.

24th     Women’s Club Championship   Tee Times begin at 7:30
This will be a one day event with a regular division along with a senior division.  The regular division is all golfers under the age of 50. The senior division is all players over the age of 50. Because all play comes from the same set of tees seniors are able to play in both the regular and senior division by paying two entry fees. The tournament will be flighted at the conclusion of 18 holes.  Players are allowed to choose their own foursomes for this tournament.

August

14th     Husband/Wife Club Championship      9:00 Shotgun Start
This event is open to both members and non members.  Our Club Champion will be determined by        the lowest score of a member couple.  The format for this event is a modified alternate shot.  The tournament will be flighted after 18 holes.  Players are allowed to choose their own foursomes for this tournament

15th     Indianola High School JV/V Invitational           10:00 Shotgun Start
The event will draw schools from around Central Iowa.  This tournament will have both a Junior Varsity Division along with a Varsity Division. 
The course remains closed until the completion of play.

28th     Indianola Booster Club Classic             9:00 Shotgun Start
This event is open to both members and non members.  This fundraiser, in which all proceeds are donated back to Indianola High School Athletics, fills up every year.  Space is limited so you will      need to sign up early if your interested in participating.  The format for this event is a 4-Person
Best Shot.  All teams are in one division and the event is flighted at the completion of 18 holes.

September

4th 5th Labor Day Tournament                9:00 Shotgun Start
This event will be a 4-Person Best Shot with teams comprised on an A, B, C & D player.  There will be Men’s Division and a Women’s Division.  This will be a two day event with both divisions playing 18 holes each day. 
GHIN handicap required for participation.  Sign up deadline is Saturday May 28th at Noon.

18th     Ryder Cup    Tee Times will begin at 7:30
This will be a 27 hole event with the nines to be played Best Shot, Best Ball and then finishing with Alternate Shot.  There will be a Men’s Division and a Mixed Division.  The tournament will be flighted at the completion of play.

20th     Simpson Fall Golf Invitational                 9:00 Shotgun Start
The course remains closed until the completion of play.

23rd     Couples Night Glow – Year End 2-Ball Shotgun Start at Dusk
Come out to the Club and enjoy some night golf!  Golf will begin with a    required so that the host couple can purchase the correct amount of night golf supplies.  Please look for more details in the September          newsletter.

24th     Men’s Association Flag Tournament    Tee Times begin at 7:30
This event is open to all members of the Men’s Association.  Participants   will be given a flag with a number on it.  The number on their flag will be the course rating from the set of tees they are             playing + their current handicap from that set of tees.  Each player will play until they reach the number on their flag.  The player who advances his flag the furthest is declared the winner.  The     will  be a Steak Fry at the conclusion of your round.  Players will form their own groups.
GHIN Handicap required for participation

October

2nd       Indianola Country Club 4 – Man Best Shot     10:00 Shotgun Start
This event is open to both members and non members. The format will be a 4-Man Best Shot.             All play will be from the white tee markers. Players will form their own groups for this event. The tournament will be flighted at the conclusion of play.

23rd     Chili 4 – Person Best Shot           11:00 Shotgun Start
This event is open to both members and non members.  The format will be a 4-Person Best Shot. Players will form their own teams.  All men under the age of 60 will play from the white tees.  All             men over the ago of 60 may play from the gold tees.  All ladies will play from the red tees. The tournament will be flighted after 18 holes.
